Director Stage

The Director Stage node opens a 3D stage. You place cameras and virtual characters, adjust the framing, then screenshot to freeze the shot as an image to use as a reference for later generation.

What the 3D stage is for

When you need a precise, reproducible composition instead of leaving the camera to luck, the Director Stage helps: set up the camera and subject in 3D first, then screenshot that composition as a reference to feed generation.

Basic controls

  • Drag objects in the scene to reposition them;
  • X toggles grid snapping;
  • T (top) / Y (front) / Q (reset) switch preset views quickly;
  • Group / ungroup: ⌘/Ctrl + G, ⌘/Ctrl + Shift + D, to manage multiple objects in the scene;
  • Delete the selected object: Delete or Backspace.

Placement and screenshot

  • The stage content saves into the node config automatically — no manual save;
  • The screenshot button turns the current view into a real image asset that appears on the canvas, connected to the Director Stage node so you can trace where it came from.
