References and @ mentions

In BLOCKLORE, there are two ways one node takes another's material: a connection (a hard reference), and an @ mention in the prompt.

A connection is a hard reference

Wire an upstream node into the current one and its output (image, video, audio, text) becomes an input to the current run. A connection is a "hard" reference — it states exactly where the data comes from and goes to. Remove the connection and the reference is gone.

@ mentions to reference assets

Type @ in a node's prompt box and an asset picker opens, split into Connected nodes and My library. Pick one and a removable reference chip is inserted into the prompt, submitted along with the run. This lets you bring a past asset into a run without wiring a connection.

First/last frame and reference order

When a node takes several reference images (say a video's first and last frame), the order is the meaning itself: the order among the connections decides which is the first frame and which is the last. Reorder to change the meaning — no separate role setting needed.

A connection is a hard reference; @ is a prompt-level one · @ can reference connected nodes or your saved library · First/last frame is told apart by connection order
